L3.0: Best Student Project Award at SIGGRAPH 2015 Los Angeles

L3.0 is a Hi-Tech ‘pet’ robot, wanders alone in Paris following the mysterious disappearance of nearly all living species. He spends his time trying to amuse himself, in vain. Until the day he encounters another living being….

This graduation project, a live action short film with visual effects incorporated attracted a lot of attention, with more than 400 000 views on Vimeo, broadcasts on foreign TV channels, 40 nominations in international festivals and 7 prestigious prizes:

  • Panam Anim Award 2014
  • Rififi Award in the animation school section of the festival Court Devant, Paris 2014
  • Red Carpet Award at the Nuit du Court Métrage in Amiens 2015
  • Jury Award at the short film festival Etang d’Art, Marseille 2015
  • Best short animation Award at the Cergy-Pontoise festival 2015
  • Jury Award at the short film festival in Angoulême 2015

And to top it all off, L3.0 has just been awarded “The Best Student Project Award” at SIGGRAPH Los Angeles! This international conference on digital graphics and interactive techniques is a reference for top professionals in this field. The jury made its selection among more than 500 competing projects.

Murphy, Nominated To The Ves Awards 2015 In The Category “Outstanding Visual Effects In A Student Project”

Murphy is a live action short film with visual effects incorporated, made by ISART DIGITAL students. The story takes place during the Second World War. An English paratrooper makes an emergency landing in a forest. Wounded, he meets a creature that tries to help as best it can. Unfortunately, however, the paratrooper’s ordeal has only just begun.

Murphy was nominated at SIGGRAPH 2015 and at the VES awards 2015.

The Visual Effects Society (VES) is an organisation that gathers together visual effects professionals working in entertainment, particularly in the fields of cinema, television, advertising, video games and music. VES awards prizes annually at the VES Awards.
