Unity Awards: A coveted prize recognized by the professional and academic video game world

The Unity Awards are announced during the Unite 2014 international conference for video game professionals. This event, which took place in Seattle this year, presented the world’s best video game creations mad with the Unity 3D game engine – the same product used by the video game studios and independent developers of today. The winners of each category were selected by Unity Technology professionals and the game development community.

The Rift: U.R.I.D.I.S, developed by ISART DIGITAL students, won the “Best Student Project Unity Award” and stands among the greatest video games like:

– Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft by Blizzard Entertainment which won the Golden Cube,

– or also the superb… Monument Valley by Ustwo which won the Best 3D Visual Experience prize

The Rift: U.R.I.D.I.S: An immersive gaming experience with mass appeal

URIDIS oculusThe Rift : U.R.I.D.I.S , a virtual reality arcade shooter game on PC requiring an XBOX 360 controller and Oculus Rift headst, was created by 12 ISART DIGITAL students: Adrien Carlier, Thomas Klein, Vivien Fusco, Charles Kaing, Cédric Coathalem, Alexandre Jantarada, Alexandre Vong, Hugo Nedelec, Maxime Dupuis, Geoffey Gobert, Loup Chantereaux and François Cocheteux.

In The Rift: U.R.I.D.I.S, the player takes control of a fighter jet to confront enemies in vertiginous dogfights.



The game experience is innovative because The Rift: U.R.I.D.I.S was created exclusively for virtual reality.  This totally immersive experience allows the player a liberating 360° vision without constraints.
