Scientific collaborations
ISART Digital is expanding its presence in the academic and industrial ecosystem of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.
With this in mind, in 2022 the school signed a partnership agreement with the Université Côte d’Azur to frame and implement various avenues for collaboration in terms of teaching, research and innovation.
Currently, ISART lecturers and researchers are collaborating on multiple interdisciplinary projects (mental health, 3D modelling and immersion, digital twins) with several research laboratories at the University: Cobtek laboratory, UMR ESPACE, IMREDD institute.
In line with its strategy of development and hybridisation of skills, ISART joined the Paris-Cachan Science and Technology Alliance in March 2024, which comprises five higher education and research institutions (Excelia Business School, AIVAINCITY, EPF Engineering School, ESTP, ESITC).
The aim of this alliance is to raise the profile of these schools nationally and internationally by creating a shared campus of skills and resources, a hub of creativity and initiatives, particularly in the areas of innovation, research and entrepreneurship. With this in mind, we will offer our students more resources, opportunities to diversify their knowledge through richer cross-disciplinary teaching and projects, and the chance to increase their involvement in associative, cultural and scientific exchanges.
As the only video game school on the site, ISART will contribute to developing the alliance by mobilising its expertise in video games for hybrid teaching, interdisciplinary R&D projects, scientific events, etc.
This partnership aims to promote international mobility for students wishing to undertake a research stay in Japan at the end of their studies.
It also aims to introduce students to the scientific process (state of the art, methodology, critique of results, promotion and communication at international conferences, etc.).
With this in mind, ISART students will have the opportunity to propose an original topic based on a bibliographic study conducted in cooperation with the ISART research department. These topics will then be submitted to the TUT faculty committee for admission to one of the laboratories of the School of Media Science TUT.

Academic partnerships, based in France and Europe, are part of a strong and lasting dynamic. Driven by thematic and geographical diversity, they offer students numerous opportunities for research and training within innovative and collaborative scientific ecosystems.
One of the strategic objectives of R&D at ISART is technology transfer.
With this in mind, the school works closely with key players in the creative and cultural industries, and beyond, to design innovative and customised solutions capable of meeting both technical and artistic challenges.
Collaborations also extend to public and cultural organisations: associations, ministries, museums, emergency services, etc., in order to put expertise in video games and animation at the service of projects with a strong social and environmental impact.
